Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They help remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language, or measure how you use the site. This policy also covers similar technologies (such as browser local storage) that serve a comparable purpose.

This site (ascensaglobal.com) is operated by Ascensa Global and Ascensa Labs. Full identifying details of the controller are in our Privacy Policy.

3. Legal basis and prior consent

Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel) are only activated once you give prior consent through the site's cookie preference banner. This is required under Article 22.2 of Spain's Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI, which transposes the EU ePrivacy Directive) for users in Spain and the European Union, and under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR when those cookies involve processing personal data.

For users in Colombia, we apply the same prior-consent standard whenever a cookie allows us to identify you, in line with the principles of Law 1581 of 2012.

For users in the United Arab Emirates, we likewise apply a prior-consent requirement before activating non-essential cookies, in line with the general consent principles of the PDPL (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function (for example, remembering your language or completing a payment) do not require prior consent, because they are essential to deliver the service you're requesting.

4. Managing your consent

The first time you visit the site, you will see a cookie preference banner where you can:

  • Accept all cookies, including analytics and advertising ones.
  • Reject non-essential cookies, keeping only the necessary technical ones active.
  • Customize your choice by category (analytics, advertising).

Until you give explicit consent, analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel) remain blocked and are not loaded in your browser. You can change your choice at any time from the preference panel, usually accessible from the site's footer.

5. Disabling cookies from your browser

In addition to the site's preference panel, you can block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Keep in mind that blocking all cookies, including necessary ones, may affect the functioning of some parts of the site, such as the checkout process.

6. Third-party cookies

Some of the cookies in this table are set directly by a third party when you interact with their technology embedded in our site (Google, Meta, PayPal). We recommend also reviewing their own policies:

  • Google: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Meta: www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
  • PayPal: www.paypal.com/privacy

7. Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when the tools we use or applicable law change. We will publish the current version on this page, with its last-updated date.
